Airbus Leases 650,000 Sq Ft Office Space in Bengaluru for GCC

Global aerospace and defense giant Airbus has leased over 650,000 sq ft of office space in Bengaluru鈥檚 Whitefield area for a 10-year term. This space will be used to establish Airbus' Global Capability Centre (GCC), which will focus on driving strategic innovation and technology development. The lease agreement with Titanium Tech Park includes an option to expand the space by an additional 150,000 sq ft after one year, with the potential for a 15-year lease term.

The deal involves a rental commitment of over Rs 5 billion over the lease period. Airbus鈥 growing presence in India is part of its strategic expansion in the region, with India being a crucial market for both civil aviation and defense. The company has partnerships with Indian suppliers like Tata Advanced Systems and HAL for aircraft production and has secured large orders from Indian airlines such as IndiGo and Air India.

India's office market is witnessing record demand driven by Global Capability Centres (GCCs) and expanding companies, with robust growth expected in the coming years. The government is also working on policies to incentivize GCCs, particularly in smaller towns and cities, ensuring long-term growth in the office space sector.
