Compensation survey for highway carried out in Dimapur

In Nagaland, Dimapur's Deputy Commissioner N Hushili Sema has stated that the survey works for compensation of land and structure etc in regard to the extension of a 4 lane road in National Highway 39 from Patkai Bridge to Piphema has already been carried out by the departments concerned. A press note by the Deputy Commissioner stated that this was done in continuation of the earlier order issued on December 14, 2012.

It informed that the detailed evaluation for financial implications and proposal is under process. The DC also stated that compensation would be given to only those beneficiaries whose land/building or both are actually required for the development of the 4-lane road.

She said that if any individual’s, community’s and village council’s land or structure is not included in the estimate but are required for the construction process; then a separate proposal would be prepared for compensation in such cases. She further informed that if any individual’s, community’s and village council’s land or structure is included in the estimate but is not required in the construction process; then such cases would not be compensated.
