The Uttar Pradesh Government has planned to construct three flyovers in the jam-prone areas of Lucknow. Initially, as reported, the departments concerned have identified three stretches � Hussainganj crossing to DAV College, Charak crossing to Haidarganj and Charak crossing to Meena Bakery exit � for the construction of flyovers. The departments have prepared a Detailed Project Report (DPR) with an estimated cost of Rs 188 crore for the flyover from Hussainganj crossing to DAV College, while the estimated cost of flyover from Charak crossing to Haidarganj and flyover from Charak crossing to Meena Bakery exit is Rs 147 crore and Rs 70 crore respectively. As reported, the Uttar Pradesh Bridge Corporation, the Lucknow Municipal Corporation and the Jalkal Nigam have prepared a DPR and blueprint of the project. These areas would also witness other development work that would include laying of sewage pipelines, water pipelines and illumination, the estimated cost of which is around Rs 41.85 crore.
