Adani Enterprises bags Rs 17,000 cr expressway project in UP under PPP

Adani Enterprises Limited (AEL) told the media that it obtained the letter of award from Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority to execute three significant stretches of the greenfield Ganga Expressway.
In a statement, the firm additionally said that the project cost is more than Rs 17,000 crore and it is India鈥檚 largest-ever expressway project granted to a private firm under the public-private partnership (PPP) framework.
It further said that AEL would create three groups of the access-controlled six-lane expressway, expandable to eight lanes in Uttar Pradesh, and the concession term will be 30 years.
The Ganga Expressway in Uttar Pradesh, which will link Meerut with Prayagraj, will be India's longest expressway to be executed on the design, build, finance, operate and transfer (DBFOT) basis.
Of its 594-km length, AEL will construct 464 km from Budaun to Prayagraj, which includes 80% of the expressway project, as per the statement.
