Arunachal To Get India's First 263.5m Extradozed Bridge

Siddhivinayak Infra International Pvt. Ltd. (formerly Siddhivinayak Construction), in joint venture with OJSC Euro Asian Construction Corporation, has secured a landmark EPC contract worth Rs 1.24 billion (excluding GST) from the Border Roads Organisation under the Ministry of Defence. The contract involves the construction of India鈥檚 first single-span extradozed bridge measuring 263.5 metres across the Siang River in Arunachal Pradesh. The total bridge length will be 386 metres.

The project, aimed at enhancing defence logistics and regional connectivity, also includes a smaller 63.5-metre major bridge.

Upon completion, the route is expected to reduce the distance for military and civilian traffic by approximately 180 kilometres鈥攃rucial for the movement of heavy defence vehicles in the strategically important region.

The joint venture has appointed Assystem (formerly Larsen & Toubro Infra Engineering Ltd.) for detailed bridge design. Additionally, leading infrastructure firm HMM Infra Ltd. has partnered with the consortium to support engineering and technical execution.

Execution of the project is already underway, with geotechnical investigations and surveying currently in progress. Once completed, this will mark the first extradozed bridge in the state, significantly improving infrastructure resilience and defence preparedness in the North-East.

Directors Vijay Shah, Kipa Tarang, and Loma Golo of Siddhivinayak Infra stated that the company is committed to using top-tier engineering practices to deliver this landmark project with precision and quality.
