Centre Sanctions Rs 5.87 bn for Jharsuguda bypass in Odisha

The Central government has sanctioned Rs 5.87 billion for the proposed bypass road in Jharsuguda, Odisha.

鈥淭he project for the construction of 31.24 km Jharsuguda Bypass on NH-49 in Odisha has been sanctioned at the total cost of Rs 587.10 crore,鈥� Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari tweeted this week.

The minister said that the bypass road will have an elephant underpass for the movement of wildlife in the surrounding areas.

According to reports, the bypass road will be laid on a patch stretching from Budhipadar locality up to Patrapali.

The survey for construction of the road has been completed and work will start soon.
