E-rickshaw associations urge Inclusion in Vision 2030

Members of e-rickshaw associations in the city have appealed to include three-wheeled battery-operated vehicles in the Vision-2030 draft, recognising the critical role of e-vehicles in future urban mobility.

Narendra Pal Singh, President of the Jaipur E-Rickshaws Welfare Association, expressed their request, stating, "We have asked the government to allocate space for e-rickshaws in Vision 2030. We are confident that e-rickshaws, when integrated effectively into urban transportation, can significantly reduce pollution levels in the state and substantially lower fuel consumption."

In an effort to gather input and suggestions, the transport department convened various transport associations on Monday to discuss potential policies and initiatives that the government could incorporate into the Vision 2030 draft regarding transportation.
