According to a senior official of the Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation's roadways, the corporation decided to allocate Rs 10 lakh to each ward for these haphazard repairs. Huge craters and potholes have developed in Salt Lake. Many of the township's roads and all three of its sectors have a Martian-like appearance. A few areas have entirely lost their asphalt layer due to the movement of vehicles over time, which has also made the situation worse. This causes the brickwork of the roads to be exposed in various places, and in various locations, sharp edges of the bricks poke out, making it very challenging for drivers to drive or ride a two- wheeler on the roads.
