RLDA invites e-bids for land parcels in Rajasthan

Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA) has floated a request for proposal (RFP) for leasing two vacant land parcels at Jaisalmer and Ajmer, Rajasthan. The land parcel at Jaisalmer spans a little over 3 hectares and is located along Jodhpur Road, near Jaisalmer Railway Station. The land parcel in Ajmer spans around 9,000 sq m and is situated on Beawar Road. Both of these land parcels will be leased for commercial use for a period of 45 years. The reserve price of Jaisalmer and Ajmer land parcels is 205 million and 400 million respectively.

The land parcel at Jaisalmer is bound by railway land and private land in the North and East and railway quarters in the West. The site enjoys accessibility to the Jodhpur Road via 30 m right of way (ROW) in the South. The railway station lies in the vicinity. It has a built-up area ratio of 1.05, thus allowing development of built-up area (BUA) of 33,308 sq m. The land parcel at Ajmer is bound by railway bungalows in the East and South and is accessible via Main Beawar Road with a proposed right of way (ROW) of 36 m (as per Ajmer Master Plan-2033) in the West and a road with 18 m right of way (ROW) in the North. With a built up area ratio of 2.0, the site has a built-up area (BUA) potential of 17,920 sq m.

Both Jaisalmer and Ajmer fall under the North Western Railway of Indian Railways. Rajasthan has witnessed a spate of infrastructural developments in the past few years such as the establishment of Agro Food Park, Export Promotion Industrial Parks (EPIPs) and Special Economic Zones (SEZ) that augur well for its economic growth. The proposed Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor will boost connectivity, spur economic development and herald a dramatic socio-economic transformation of the region.

is a statutory body under the Ministry of Railways for the development of Railway land.
