Aareve and Systra to develop Hyderabad Metro Phase-III

Aarvee Associates and Systra have secured contracts for preparing Preliminary Project Reports (PPRs) and Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) for Hyderabad's Phase-III Metro Rail expansion. The ambitious project includes 12 corridors spanning 278 km, with four along the Outer Ring Road (ORR) and eight extension corridors.

Hyderabad Airport Metro (HAML) initiated the tendering process in August 2023. Aarvee Associates will handle Packages II and III, while Systra will manage Packages I & IV. The consultancy firms are tasked with delivering PPRs within two months, involving comprehensive traffic surveys, travel demand forecasts, ridership estimates, and various analyses to determine appropriate public transport modes.

Following this, DPRs are expected within three months, encompassing specifics like Metro rail alignment, viaducts, station and depot planning, signalling and train communication systems, last-mile connectivity strategies, and other critical elements.

The agencies have also been directed to simultaneously initiate field surveys across all designated corridors.
