The Project Investment Board of the centre has permitted three lines of Delhi metro phase 4 stretching more than 40 km. The total price is likely to be approximately Rs 12,586 crore. A senior official told the media the board under the Ministry of Finance permitted the remaining three lines鈥擫ajpat Nagar-Saket G-Block (8.38 km), Inderlok-Indraprastha (12.37 km) and Rithala-Bawana-Narela (22.91 km)鈥攐f the Delhi metro phase 4. After permission, the bids would be placed before the union cabinet for final approval. Permission of the projects costing more than Rs 100 crores come under the board. The government had given its final nod to all the six offered corridors in December 2018. It only approved three priority corridors in February 2019. While working on all three corridors 鈥� Janakpuri West-RK Ashram (28.9 km), Aerocity-Tughlaqabad (20.2 km) and Maujpur-Majlis Park (12.5 km)鈥攊s going on together, Maujpur-Majlis Park corridor is likely to be completed first. However, the project is expected to miss its 2025 goal. In the fourth phase of the metro, three interchange stations will emerge as part of the first corridor work 鈥� Madhuban Chowk (Red Line), Peeragarhi (Green Line), and Haiderpur Badli Mor (Yellow Line). Additionally, the corridor of Janakpuri West-RK Ashram Marg will have three more interchange facilities at Majlis Park (Pink Line), R K Ashram Marg (Blue Line) and Azadpur (Yellow Line).
