K-RIDE Initiates Bengaluru Suburban Line from Majestic to Airport

K-RIDE, the Karnataka Rail Infrastructure Development Enterprise, has officially commenced work on a new suburban railway line that will connect Majestic to Bengaluru Airport. This major project is expected to greatly enhance connectivity between the city's central areas and its international airport.

The proposed line will span approximately 35 kilometres, providing a direct and efficient transport link for commuters travelling between Bengaluru's bustling Majestic area and the Kempegowda International Airport. The project aims to alleviate traffic congestion on major roads and offer a reliable alternative for air travellers.

Construction of the suburban line will involve the development of several new stations, advanced track laying, and integration with existing railway infrastructure. The initiative is part of a broader effort to modernise and expand Bengaluru's public transportation network, catering to the city's growing population and increasing demand for efficient travel options.

In addition to improving accessibility to the airport, the new line is anticipated to support economic growth by enhancing connectivity to business districts and residential areas. K-RIDE's project is expected to reduce travel time significantly and offer a more convenient option for daily commuters and airport passengers alike.

As work progresses, K-RIDE will continue to coordinate with local authorities and stakeholders to ensure timely completion of the project. The suburban line is expected to become a key component of Bengaluru's transportation infrastructure, contributing to the city?s development and ease of travel.
