Odisha Approves Elevated Road for Bhubaneswar Station

The Odisha government has approved the construction of an elevated approach and exit road at Bhubaneswar Railway Station鈥檚 Master Canteen side. This project is part of the station鈥檚 redevelopment under the Indian Railways鈥� Amrit Station Scheme.

The project is a part of Odisha鈥檚 larger Rs 700 billion ($8.4 billion) infrastructure plan, which includes:

  • An elevated corridor from Jayadev Vihar to Nandankanan Zoo to ease congestion.
  • Road expansion along Daya West Canal Road from Patia Station Square to Suanga Mouza.
  • New flyovers at Kalpana Square, Museum Square, and Sishu Bhawan Square, along with an underpass at AG Square.
  • These initiatives aim to modernize Bhubaneswar鈥檚 transport network, improve urban mobility, and provide a world-class travel experience for railway passengers.
