RRTS Corridor project: NCRTC seeks private player for O&M

National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) is set to engage in a private partnership for operations and management (O&M) of Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut semi-high speed trains.

NCRTC is mandated to implement India's first Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) project in the National Capital Region of India (NCR).

This mobility system will not only improve regional connectivity but will also help to promote sustainable and balanced urban development in NCR.

The assigned operator will be responsible for the Operations & Maintenance and management of the station. The opportunity is structured as a direct O&M contract based on gross-cost bidding, with no ridership risk for the operator.

The RRTS corridor (Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut) is the first of the three primary corridors that are being implemented in the RRTS's first phase. The construction of this corridor is progressing fast.

With the two others 鈥 Delhi-Gurugram-SNB-Alwar and Delhi-Panipat RRTS Corridors are in the advanced stage of planning. The O&M opportunity includes the right of first refusal for the O&M of these corridors.

The RRTS is a semi-high speed rail with a high-frequency commuter transit system. It aims to improve people's life by providing equitable, fast, reliable, safe, comfortable, efficient, and sustainable solutions to enable the development of the economy of the NCR and address issues of pollution and congestion.
