CG Power and Industrial Solutions Ltd has secured its largest-ever contract, valued at Rs 6.41 billion, from Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (PGCIL). The order is for the supply and servicing of 765kV and 400kV class transformers and reactors under PowerGrid鈥檚 Corporate Package 7TR-12-Bulk, Lot-4. The project, which includes 1-phase 765/400 kV transformers and various capacity reactors, will be executed over a period of 18 to 36 months.
The announcement pushed CG Power鈥檚 share price up by 2.32 per cent, closing near the day鈥檚 high at Rs 698 on the NSE. With more than 88 years of experience, CG Power is a global leader in high-voltage electrical equipment, manufacturing transformers up to 1,500 MVA and 765kV, and reactors up to 125 MVAr.
Now part of the Murugappa Group, CG Power is a recognised provider of end-to-end solutions for the application and management of electrical energy. Its offerings span across power systems and industrial systems, catering to utilities, railways, mining, and industrial sectors. The firm maintains global quality standards, manufacturing to IEC, ANSI, IS, and BS norms.
This major win aligns with CG Power鈥檚 strategic aim to strengthen its position in India鈥檚 power infrastructure ecosystem. The company posted consolidated revenues of Rs 9.91 billion in FY25, and continues to grow across its key segments.
In financial performance, net profit rose by 17 per cent year-on-year in Q4 FY25 to Rs 274.26 crore, up from Rs 233.81 crore in the same quarter last year, driven by a rise in income to Rs 2.82 billion from Rs 2.24 billion.
However, full-year FY25 profit dipped to Rs 9.73 billion, down from Rs 14.28 billion in FY24, despite total income growing to Rs 10.07 billion.
CG Power鈥檚 core business remains focused on delivering products and solutions across two segments:
