Raimondi Middle East has deployed the highest climbed luffing jib crane in the region鈥攁 Raimondi LR213鈥攏ow operating at 322 m on a 75-storey premium residential project in Dubai.聽

Erected on an existing undercarriage with a 50-m jib and 3.3-tonne tip load, the crane鈥檚 deployment required meticulous planning due to site constraints, including structural limitations of a pre-existing foundation and a confined jobsite.聽

鈥淲e utilised a 6x6 base and removed ballast blocks at each stage to stay within allowable load limits,鈥� said Wael Hasan, GM, Raimondi Middle East.聽

The crane replaced a previous tower crane after the structure had already reached 100 m, forcing Raimondi鈥檚 engineers to reverse typical foundation planning. The team also redesigned the load curve for operations above 300 m.聽

Built with GR5S mast elements鈥攊ncluding 100 segments of 2.95 m鈥攁nd stabilised with 12 bracings, the LR213 faced complex collar positioning challenges that required iterative engineering.聽

The crane will be dismantled soon, with the jib reduced to 50 metres and removed using a mobile crane.聽
