Adani Electricity announced that it will offer temporary power connections at subsidised rates to Ganesh pandals in Mumbai for the upcoming 10-day Ganeshotsav, starting on September 6. The initiative is aimed at adding to the grandeur of Maharashtra's biggest public festival, an official stated. Committed to supporting the hundreds of Ganesh pandals that are set up during the celebrations, Adani Electricity assured that this initiative would provide them with reliable power connections throughout the festivities.
The company has streamlined the process for obtaining these connections, allowing Ganesh pandals to secure temporary connections within 48 hours of submitting their applications online at www.adanielectricity.com, according to the official. In 2023, Adani Electricity had provided uninterrupted power to over 958 Ganesh pandals in Mumbai, ensuring that the celebrations continued without disruption.
This year, the company has made extensive preparations to expedite power connection approvals and ensure a reliable power supply throughout the festival. Additionally, Adani Electricity is deploying Quick Response Teams at strategic locations to swiftly address any connection issues. The company has urged all organisers to use only authorised and licensed electrical contractors for wiring, to ensure the safety of the devotees visiting the pandals.
Furthermore, Adani Electricity will provide illumination with floodlights at over 80 idol immersion locations on various days during the festival, the official added. The company has also issued a detailed list of do's and don'ts for all Ganesh pandals, emphasising safety precautions to prevent any hazards during the festivities.
Some of these precautions include ensuring proper wiring readiness at the pandals, restricting access to authorised personnel in meter cabins, using wires and switches with standard capacity and secure insulation, maintaining optimal load, properly earthing the generator body if using backup, keeping fire extinguishers with operating instructions near the meter board, and avoiding the storage of hazardous materials in and around the meter cabin.
