BHEL seeks bids for floating solar project power units

Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL) has announced the invitation of bids for the supply and commissioning of grid-connected power conditioning units (PCU) for a 300 MW capacity floating solar power project at Rengali, Odisha.

It was mentioned that the last date for the submission of bids is March 16, 2024, and the bids will be opened on the same day.

Having a portfolio with over 1,200 MW in commissioned projects, BHEL expressed its intention to venture into the floating and ground-mounted solar power plant business within the CPSU/government Utility segment.

The tender's value is estimated at Rs 400 million. Bidders were informed that there is no requirement for a tender fee or earnest money deposit to participate in the tender.

Those interested in bidding would have 252 days to complete the work. Furthermore, bidders were advised to visit the site to gain a comprehensive understanding and information regarding the existing conditions on-site and in the vicinity of the plant premises.

It was emphasized that bidders must familiarize themselves with all the legal and regulatory requirements imposed by various authorities. They were reminded to ensure that their offer adheres to these conditions.
