BTL EPC secures BHEL ash handling system order

The Telangana State Power Generation Corporation's (TSPGENCO) 5x800 MW super-critical thermal power plant at Yadadri in the Nalgonda district has received an order from BHEL for BTL EPC to instal an ash handling system.

Installation of a bottom ash handling system, an economiser ash handling system, a coarse ash removal system, a vacuum system for dry fly ash evacuation, and a pressure conveying system with a high-concentration slurry disposal system are all included in the order (HCSD).

The contract value is worth Rs 446 crore.

BTL EPC is Shrachi Group's engineering arm, and its portfolio of commissioned projects includes urea handling at HURL Sindri and Barauni for Rs 1.57 billion and baggage handling plant for KRIBHCO for Rs 530 million. BHEL Bangladesh Maitree, a complete raw material handling system involving a 34-kilometre conveyor at NMDC Nagarnar, and a complete coal handling system for WBPDCL, Sagardighi are among the projects currently under construction.
