PM Modi launches Rs 680 bn development projects in Odisha

Prime Minister Narendra Modi revealed development projects valued at more than Rs 680 billion in Odisha. These projects aimed to enhance the energy sector, encompassing natural gas, coal, and power generation, alongside significant initiatives in the road, railway, and higher education sectors.

During the event, PM Modi toured the IIM Sambalpur model and observed a photo exhibition. In his address to the gathering, he emphasized the significance of the occasion for Odisha's development journey, citing the launch of projects exceeding Rs 680 billion in education, railway, roads, electricity, and petroleum sectors.

PM Modi expressed his satisfaction in announcing the government's decision to confer the Bharat Ratna upon the former Deputy Prime Minister of India, Lal Krishna Advani. He praised Advani's remarkable contributions during his tenure as Deputy Prime Minister, ÑDz©ÌåÓý¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³ Minister, and Information and Broadcasting Minister of India, as well as his decades of experience as a distinguished parliamentarian.

The Prime Minister highlighted that the development projects would benefit people across all sections of Odisha and create numerous employment opportunities for the state's youth.
