Rajasthan FM Diya Kumari Unveils Solar Energy Initiatives

Rajasthan's Finance Minister, Diya Kumari, unveiled significant measures to promote solar energy in the state budget. These initiatives aim to position Rajasthan as a leader in renewable energy and drive sustainable development.

The first major announcement is the establishment of a 2000 MW solar park in Jodhpur. This project is expected to attract substantial investment and generate employment opportunities while significantly boosting the state's solar energy capacity.

Secondly, Kumari announced a subsidy scheme for rooftop solar installations. ÑDz©ÌåÓý¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³owners and businesses installing solar panels will receive financial assistance, encouraging widespread adoption of solar power. This move is aimed at reducing electricity costs and increasing the share of renewable energy in the state's power mix.

The third initiative involves setting up solar-powered irrigation systems for farmers. This scheme will provide subsidies for installing solar pumps, helping farmers reduce their dependence on conventional electricity and diesel. This not only promotes sustainable agriculture but also reduces the carbon footprint of farming practices.

Lastly, Kumari highlighted plans to develop a solar energy training center. This center will offer courses and training programs to equip the local workforce with skills in solar technology and installation. By fostering a skilled labor pool, the state aims to support the growing solar industry and ensure the successful implementation of its renewable energy projects.

These announcements underscore Rajasthan's commitment to harnessing solar energy, reducing carbon emissions, and promoting economic growth through sustainable practices. The initiatives are expected to have a long-term positive impact on the state's energy landscape and contribute to India's overall renewable energy goals.
