ReNew Power, Adani Renewable Energy, Azure Power, Green Infra Wind Energy, and Anupavan Renewable Energy won the interstate transmission system (ISTS) wind power auction of Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) of 1,200 MW.
ReNew Power has won 300 MW wind capacity, Green Infra Wind Energy won 180 MW capacity, and Anupavan Renewables won 150 MW capacity, each quoted Rs 2.69 per kWh. Adani Renewable Energy won 450 MW capacity, and Azure Power won 120 MW capacity, each quoted Rs 2.7 per kWh. SECI floated a tender in May 2021.
However, the lowest tariff quoted in the tender was Rs 2.44 per kWh. It was found on SECI's ISTS-connected wind project auction under Tranche III in 2018.
The generated power from the project will be sold to the Madhya Pradesh discoms. The discoms will procure power via Madhya Pradesh Management Company, the authorized representative for signing the power sale agreement on behalf of discoms.
The developers will be responsible for land acquisition to set up the project. SECI will not be responsible for any land acquisition matters.
The Revised List of Models and Manufacturers have the certified wind turbine models lists issued by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), which will be allowed for deployment under the program.
According to the Tranche X auction, the lowest tariff of Rs 2.69 per kWh is about 2.9% lesser than the lowest tariff of Rs 2.77 per kWh.
In March 2021, Adani Renewable Energy, Evergreen Power, Ayanayana Renewable Power, and JSW Future Energy won the ISTS-connected ISTS-connected SECI's wind project auction of 1.2 GW.
Adani won 300 MW wind projects of Rs 2.77 per kWh. Ayana Renewable Power with 300 MW capacity, Evergreen Power with 150 MW, and JSW Future Energy with 450 MW had quoted Rs 2.78 per kWh.
According to a report, SECI has floated a tender for 15.1 GW wind projects under Tranche I to Tranche X. Out of which 11.5 GW has been tendered.
