SunSource Energy expands solar energy target to one gigawatt by 2027

The Indian division of SHV Energy, SunSource Energy, announced that it will increase its goal for the deployment of solar energy from 550 MW to 1 GW by 2027.
According to the official press release, the capacity increase will support an expanding customer base across India, and the India leadership team will also be expanded to support the delivery scale-up.
“Together with the expansion of our local management team, we will now be better equipped to address the evolving energy transition needs of commercial and industrial consumers in India and Southeast Asia,� stated Bram Gräber, CEO of SHV Energy, a multinational provider of clean energy solutions.
The press release states that SHV Energy will own 100% of SunSource Energy, a well-known distributor of energy.
Adarsh Das has been named chief commercial officer to support the company's accelerated growth trajectory, and Kushagra Nandan, the current managing director, will assume the role of chief executive officer as part of the company's team expansion.
The Chief Operating Officer position will be transferred from SHV Energy in the Netherlands to Sytze Nijman, and the Chief Financial Officer position will be transferred to Pratik Adhikari, who joined the company from professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal.
“The demand for solar energy from commercial and industrial customers in India is growing rapidly and we are pleased to be able to help meet that need. This expansion also enables us to continue to benefit from the global SHV Energy network and its vast expertise and resources,� said Kushagra Nandan, managing director and CEO, SunSource Energy.
The current SunSource senior leadership team will continue to be crucial and involved in achieving the company's long-term goals.
