The new 225VST Mulching Tractor of Fecon is launching in September at the Utility Expo.
Fecon purchased the line of forestry mulching tractors of Vermeer this year, and Vermeer would present the 200-horsepower mulcher at its booth at the show, officially known as ICUEE.
According to Fecon, the tractor generates 576 foot-pounds of torque at 1,500 rpm. Its hydraulic system produces 80 gallons per minute at 5,000 psi, which is adequate to run the RK8620 Bull Hog mulcher of Fecon, created to process materials quickly with fewer passes. It also has a wide range of motion for felling and below-grade work.
The cab gives wide-angle clarity to the Bull Hog and the tracks. The ROPS and FOPS cab is entered and exited by a side door. The cab has an air suspension seat, pressurised, adjustable joystick pods and a 7-inch display screen.
The tractor's weight is evenly spread across the tracks, which has an oscillating design. The tracks give steady ground pressure in each terrain. The ground pressure
for the tractor is ranked at five psi. It can also be operated on slopes up to 45 degrees.
Additional features comprise of oscillating D3 undercarriage with 24-inch single grouser pads, a dual-engine air cleaner with pre-cleaner, hydraulically operated reversing fans for the engine and hydraulic cooler, large and lockable service doors for the engine compartment and Power Management System of Fecon.
The tractor comes charged by the Fecon Green Environmentally Safe Hydraulic Fluids.
The tractor would only be available via Signature Level Vermeer dealers. It is built for Vermeer and designed for large right-of-way and land clearing operations.
The Utility Expo is on September 28-30 at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville.
