Michelin India Executive Director Mohan Kumar dies of Covid-19

Michelin India's Executive Director cum Executive Vice-President Mohan Kumar died of Covid-19 on Tuesday.

Kumar graduated from National Institute of Technology (NIT), Trichy with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering in 1989 and completed his post graduation in management at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Bengaluru.

Before joining Michelin, Kumar had worked in various Indian and multinational companies in the marketing and sales domain across a spectrum of industries, including earthmoving equipment, toys, sports equipment and watches.

Kumar joined Michelin India in July 2005 as the head of sales for passenger car tyres and since then had assumed various leadership roles both in Michelin India and Michelin USA.

Kumar also held a position as the Vice-Chairman of the Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA).

Mohan Kumar was 53 and had a wife, two children and parents.

Since December 2017, Kumar had been head of business of Michelin for India and the SAARC countries.
