Bhubaneswar gets Rs. 21 cr for two slum housing projects

The Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation has sanctioned Rs 21.50 crore under the Rajiv Awas Yojana (RAY) to build two slum housing projects for people in Mandap Basti and Munda Sahi near Chandrasekharpur in Bhubaneswar. Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) will start the process of construction on the two slum housing projects soon. The central sanctioning and monitoring committee on RAY approved the funding. Following this, BMC will soon call for tenders for the projects.
