PM Modi Launches Rs 26 Billion Projects Across Rajasthan

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched multiple infrastructure and development projects worth over Rs 26 billion in Rajasthan on 22 May. He inaugurated the redeveloped Deshnoke Railway Station under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme and flagged off the Bikaner-Mumbai express train.

The Prime Minister inaugurated 103 redeveloped Amrit Stations across eighty-six districts in eighteen states and union territories, developed at a cost exceeding Rs 1.1 billion. Over 1,300 stations are being redeveloped with modern facilities designed to reflect regional architecture and enhance passenger amenities, including those for Divyangjan.

Deshnoke railway station, serving pilgrims visiting the Karni Mata Temple, is inspired by temple architecture. Begumpet station in Telangana reflects the Kakatiya empire style, while Thawe station in Bihar features murals of Maa Thawewali, and Dakor station in Gujarat is inspired by Ranchhodrai Ji Maharaj.

Modi laid the foundation stone for the 58-km Churu–Sadulpur rail line and dedicated six electrified rail lines spanning over one thousand kilometres, supporting Indian Railways goal of full electrification to improve efficiency and reduce emissions.

In road development, Modi laid foundations for three vehicle underpasses, upgraded national highways, and dedicated seven road projects worth over Rs 4.85 billion. These highways extend to the India-Pakistan border, enhancing security and defence infrastructure.

He also inaugurated solar and power transmission projects in Bikaner, Didwana Kuchaman, Neemuch, and Fatehgarh, promoting clean energy.

Additionally, Modi launched twenty-five state projects including over 750 km of highway upgrades, power supply improvements, health services, nursing colleges, and water infrastructure such as rural supply and fluorosis mitigation under the AMRUT 2.0 scheme.
