25,000 Km of Rural Roads to be Reconstructed

Bihar is set to reconstruct 25,000 kilometers of rural roads in a bid to enhance infrastructure and improve connectivity across its villages. Announced by Ashok Kumar Choudhary, the state鈥檚 Minister for Rural Works, this ambitious project aims to strengthen the road network and facilitate easier access to remote areas. The project, part of a broader push to develop Bihar鈥檚 rural infrastructure, will see significant investments aimed at improving transportation for communities in underserved regions.

The reconstruction plan is expected to boost the local economy by improving access to markets, education, and healthcare services. It also aligns with the state government鈥檚 efforts to ensure equitable development across urban and rural areas. The initiative will address the wear and tear of existing roads, while ensuring that newer, more durable materials are used in construction, ultimately providing long-term benefits.

This move is part of Bihar's ongoing rural development programs designed to uplift the standard of living in its rural regions. With better roads, the state aims to reduce travel time, improve agricultural supply chain efficiencies, and enhance social mobility for the population. As the state accelerates its focus on infrastructure development, the road reconstruction project is expected to contribute significantly to Bihar's overall economic growth.
