The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority decides to repair a three km road stretching from the Gautam Buddha University to the Yamuna Expressway Authority area. The road will be extended up to the Yamuna Expressway. Therefore, when this stretch of 3 km from GBU is resurfaced, the residents of Greater Noida will be having a smoother drive to the Noida airport. A tender of Rs 14 crore was floated by the project department of GNIDA on Thursday. December 22, is the last date for the tender applications. The company which will be selected has to complete the work within six months. Other than this project, 29 additional tenders for maintenance and development work, approximately worth Rs 39 crore were floated. The sectors include Ecotech 1 extension 1, Mu 2, Chai Phi, Eta 1, Sirsa roundabout, and so on. A study was done by the Central Road Research Institute (CRRI) for the industrial authority, after the inspection of GNIDA CEO, Narendra Bhooshan. The estimations for the work and issuance of the tenders were done on the basis of this report, and the tenders were based on this CRRI report.
