L&T Metro Rail implements parking fees at Nagole and Miyapur stations

The L&T Metro Rail is set to introduce parking fees at the Nagole Metro station beginning August 25, with the Miyapur Metro station to follow on September 1. Trial runs were carried out at the Nagole parking facility to assess the efficiency of various systems. The parking areas at these Metro stations are managed by L&TMRHL.

L&TMRHL has initiated efforts to raise awareness among passengers regarding the upcoming parking fees. According to L&TMRHL, the parking facilities at these stations will be clearly designated for two-wheelers and four-wheelers, with improved amenities such as bio-toilets for passenger convenience. The company assured that there will be 24/7 CCTV surveillance, on-ground security, and an app-based payment option via QR code.

In a statement, L&TMRHL expressed confidence that these enhancements would provide a safer, more comfortable, and organized parking experience.

For two-wheeler parking, L&TMRHL will charge Rs 10 for up to two hours, Rs 25 for up to eight hours, and Rs 40 for up to 12 hours, with an additional Rs 5 for each extra hour thereafter.

For four-wheelers, the parking fee will be Rs 30 for up to two hours, Rs 75 for up to eight hours, and Rs 120 for up to 12 hours, with an additional Rs 15 for each extra hour thereafter.
