Haryana Discom Tenders 28 MW KUSUM

Haryana's power distribution company has floated a tender for the installation of 28 MW of solar power projects under the Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan (KUSUM) scheme. The tender invites bids from developers for setting up solar projects ranging from 500 kW to 2 MW capacity.

The KUSUM scheme aims to support farmers by providing opportunities for the installation of solar projects on barren or cultivable land. In this tender, projects will be developed on a build-own-operate (BOO) basis. The scope of work includes the design, supply, installation, and commissioning of the solar projects.

The projects will also involve the operation and maintenance of the solar plants for a specified period. Developers participating in the tender will be responsible for the transmission of power up to the delivery point.

This initiative aligns with the broader national goal of promoting clean and renewable energy sources while supporting farmers by creating additional avenues of income through solar power generation. The KUSUM scheme, through such tenders, encourages the sustainable use of land resources and contributes to India's renewable energy targets. The successful implementation of these projects will not only enhance the state's solar capacity but also foster agricultural sustainability and rural development.
